It has been a while since I posted, mainly due to the setting up of Bath and Banbury repair locations. These have been running for a month now, and are being utilised.

The past weeks has seen an increase in iphone repairs in the Banbury and Northampton region. Swindon and Oxford remain busy.

Remember Tech Help UK deliver a personal service. We aim to repair your iphone onsite, and only if we are unable to do so, we would take the device away and deliver it back to you personally once repaired.

Our Bath location at present is just a drop of centre, and Laptops, Desktop, and Apple Iphone/Ipod will be taken to our Swindon location, before being made available for collection in Bath.

• Windows XP SP2 support ends July 2010.
• Windows Vista RTM support end April 2010.

What does this mean?

If you are running Windows XP SP2 then you need to migrate to Windows XP SP3.
Customers running Windows Vista RTM should migrate to Windows Vista SP2.

Windows XP customers should use Microsoft Update or Automatic Updates to download and install
Windows XP SP3. SP3 can be downloaded from Microsoft Update at
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate.

Windows Vista customers should use Windows Update to download and install Windows Vista SP2.
Service Packs may not be available through Windows Update on Windows Vista computers until other
available updates have been installed. Customers will need to separately install SP1 before installing SP2.

Installing service packs can cause problems with 3rd party software. Both SP3 for XP and SP2 for Vista are large updates, and you should ensure all your software is compatible. Please also ensure you backup your data before applying the update, so if anything goes wrong you do not lose any data.

I have 3 macbooks on my workbench,  2 desktop PC’s along with a Sony Vaio, and a IBM Thinkpad notebook all in for repairs, healthchecks, virus cleanups etc.

An iphone we repaired will be heading back to its owner who is currently working in Italy today.

Tomorrow I have a batch of faulty ipods arriving, which we will refurb for a client. That will be 2-3 weeks worth of work! Where am I going to put the pallets?!?

I should also receive a couple of notebook screens tomorrow. I will collect the laptops which both have broken screens, when they arrive, and get those both repaired.
